AgriMACS, Inc. announced it will permanently close all Washington operations effective May 8, 2026, citing business hardships and market shifts as the reason. The company's WARN filing states the closure will affect 145 employees and notes more than 100 employees do not have bumping or displacement rights. The shutdown will impact facilities in Chelan, Royal City, Othello, Soap Lake, Methow, and Pateros and follows a prior larger layoff in November 2025 when AgriMACS laid off 1,368 workers. The company manages over 5,000 acres across North Central and the Columbia Basin and attributed the closure to rising labor and operating costs and declining profitability for orchard operations.
