Company filings and Georgia's WARN record say all 168 employees at the site are affected, with production having stopped in mid-August. The firm's notice schedules workforce separations beginning October 17, 2026 and continuing through January 30, 2027 as the shutdown process unfolds, and identifies union-represented workers among those losing jobs. Anchor Glass said the closure was due to "changing business needs" and noted it continues to operate four other plants in New York, Indiana, Minnesota and Oklahoma. State and local agencies are offering assistance to affected employees.
