Astrion notified employees that it will reduce its workforce at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, affecting 61 employees assigned to the F-15 contract. The company said the permanent separations are expected to occur on or around May 31, 2026, coinciding with the end of the current contract extension, and issued the notice under federal and Ohio WARN acts. None of the affected workers are union-represented and there are no bumping rights; Astrion noted work will transition to a successor contractor. While some impacted employees might receive offers from the successor, Astrion stated it does not know how many will be rehired by the incoming contractor.
