Feb 1, 2025WARN notice
Hazle Township, PA

Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate is closing its Hazle Township (Hazleton) plant, with a state filing indicating 102 jobs will be lost by May. The company said production will shift to other North American Cargill facilities and that it will offer severance benefits and job placement assistance to impacted employees. Cargill has owned the facility since 2015 and noted this decision affects the 102 employees at the Hazleton facility; the company previously announced plans to cut 8,000 jobs company-wide. Local Lititz and Mount Joy facilities were mentioned as possible destinations for production, but Cargill declined to confirm whether jobs would move to those sites.
