Covenant Aviation Security, LLC
Layoff timeline
1 EVENTCovenant Aviation Security, the private contractor providing passenger and baggage screening at San Francisco International Airport, filed a WARN notice stating it will permanently lay off 1,279 workers effective November 30, 2026. The company has operated at SFO under contract with the TSA since 2002 and describes itself as the largest private aviation security contractor serving the TSA. SFO officials said the layoffs are not expected to affect screening operations because affected employees will transition to a new security screening vendor under the airport’s worker retention policy. KRON4 contacted Covenant for comment but had not received a response at the time of reporting.
