CRRC MA

It primarily serves customers in China and internationally through subsidiaries engaged in railway vehicle manufacturing and rail transit system solutions.
Layoff timeline
1 EVENTCRRC MA placed approximately 140 employees on furlough after car shells it produced were held at U.S. ports by Customs and Border Protection amid forced-labor verifications. The hold-up, which lasted about a year, delayed shipments of Chinese-made frames and led CRRC MA to temporarily remove workers from the job; Congressman Richard Neal intervened and helped secure the release of the shells so the company can begin recalling furloughed staff. The furlough affects unionized, high-skilled manufacturing positions tied to producing railcar shells for clients including the MBTA and Los Angeles Metro. CRRC issued a statement saying operations will gradually resume with the goal of recalling affected employees to continue work on safe, quality vehicles.
