2 EVENTSGerresheimer will lay off 139 workers at its Vineland, N.J., manufacturing facility as it closes the production site in the Forest Grove section and transfers vial and cartridge production to Morganton, North Carolina, and Querétaro, Mexico. The company filed the notice with the New Jersey Department of Labor in August 2026 and said the technical innovation and product development center will remain in Vineland. The layoffs are scheduled to occur between Sept. 1, 2026, and July 30, 2027, as part of Gerresheimer's transformation program to optimize its global production network and improve operational efficiency. The company stated that upgraded facilities in Morganton and Querétaro will handle the transferred production.
