Inalfa Roof Systems filed a WARN notice saying it will permanently lay off 142 employees at two Auburn Hills manufacturing and assembly locations. The layoffs affect the 815 Opdyke Road site (permanent layoffs) and the 1370 Pacific Drive site (closure), both scheduled for Dec. 14, 2026. Inalfa, headquartered in the Netherlands, designs and supplies automotive roof systems and has multiple global facilities; the announcement follows earlier workforce reductions in Georgia this year where the company cut about 40% of its staff after closing two locations. Hardware and capital equipment are sourced worldwide and assembled at Inalfa facilities, and the company services more than 40 vehicle brands.
