Janus International announced that its Butler facility at 620 W. Main St. will be converted into a distribution center and that 75 employees were permanently laid off while nine employees will be retained. The facility, which began operations in Butler in 2014, will remain open but shift operations away from its prior manufacturing role. The company provides commercial sheet doors, self-storage roll-up doors, automation solutions, and relocatable storage units. WorkOne Northeast organized a rapid response orientation and a job fair on July 9 to assist affected workers and local employers were invited to discuss hiring opportunities.
