1 EVENTTacoma-based MultiCare Health System filed a WARN notice received Sept. 8 reporting planned job eliminations across nine Washington cities. The company said it will eliminate 138 positions due to "changing business needs," with cuts beginning Oct. 27 and continuing through the end of the year. One affected facility is the MultiCare Business Center at 15 W Yakima Ave; most listed locations will remain open, though an eyecare facility in Spokane Valley will permanently close. The notice covers other cities including Auburn, Federal Way, Lakewood, Olympia, Puyallup, Spokane, Spokane Valley and Tacoma and points affected workers to retraining resources through WorkSource.
