2 EVENTSNutanix announced a planned 5 percent workforce reduction earlier in August 2026, which the company said would eliminate around 400 jobs as part of a restructuring to streamline and realign its organizational structure, improve operational efficiency, and reallocate resources toward strategic priorities. Management expects to substantially complete the workforce reduction by the end of October 2026 and to reinvest the majority of savings into sales capacity, partnerships, and Agentic AI initiatives. The company also noted approximately $38 million of restructuring charges related to the plan (about $32.5 million expected to be paid in cash in Q1 FY2027). The cuts accompany otherwise strong FY2026 financial results, including revenue growth and expanded customer additions, but reflect a pivot toward newer growth vectors such as neoclouds and AI offerings.
