2 EVENTSPacificSource announced in a WARN filing that it will permanently lay off 134 employees effective Dec. 31, 2026, affecting staff at its Portland, Salem and Springfield offices. The cuts come as the insurer exits the individual market and ceases operations in Montana, and follow prior reductions earlier since October 2025 (265 roles) and July (97 positions). PacificSource said affected, non-union-represented employees will be offered severance packages under company policy and acknowledged the impact on coverage and livelihoods. The company framed the reductions as a response to unsustainable healthcare costs, inconsistent access, and operational challenges limiting its ability to provide reliable coverage.
