Rise Baking Company announced it will close its Kent, Washington manufacturing facility and lay off all 120 employees, according to a WARN notice received March 12. The company filed the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification and set the beginning date of separation as Aug. 7, 2026. Rise, based in Minneapolis, said it is expanding another manufacturing facility in Pleasant View, Utah and consolidating its manufacturing footprint to optimize its network and increase pie production capacity. The company stated it will provide severance and retention packages aligned with years of service and said it will offer affected employees opportunities to pursue other roles within the organization.
