1 EVENTMichigan-based Taikisha USA, Inc. announced it will close its Columbus facility at 1939 Refugee Rd. with the plant scheduled to shut on May 31, 2026. In a WARN notice to the state the company said the closure will result in the permanent separation of 81 employees, with the first separations expected on May 31. Taikisha USA is a subsidiary of Japan's Taikisha Limited that designs and builds large-scale industrial paint finishing systems for automotive, heavy truck, aerospace and other sectors. The company described the layoffs as a result of the plant closure; separations are permanent and planned rather than already completed.
