2 EVENTSTekSynap, a Reston-based IT federal contractor with more than 1,000 employees, filed a WARN notifying that 69 workers could be laid off as a defense-related "wireless" contract winds down. Affected staff — including engineers, product managers and analysts — are located across the U.S., and potential separations would occur during October, November and December depending on remaining contract work. The company said it is actively evaluating other available work to avoid layoffs; a WARN filing does not guarantee the cuts will occur. The notice appears tied to a wireless contract scheduled to end Sept. 29, and TekSynap did not provide further comment.
