United Air Temp Air Conditioning and Heating LLC

United Air Temp, Air Conditioning and Heating LLC will lay off 93 employees this fall at its Lorton, Va., location, according to a Virginia Workforce Development notice filed with the Virginia Department of Workforce Development and Advancement. The mass layoff affects the company's location at 6900 Hill Park Dr., with an expected separation date of Nov. 10. The Virginia agency is reporting the event as a closure, while the Washington Business Journal says the cuts represent about one-third of the location's workforce; the company did not respond to requests for comment. The article notes United Air Temp was acquired by private equity firm Littlejohn & Co. two-and-a-half years ago, providing context but not attributing a specific reason for the layoffs.
