CJ Logistics America Announces Planned Plant Closures in Industrials Sector

CJ Logistics America, LLC disclosed WARN notices reporting planned workforce reductions affecting 145 employees between filings reported Sept. 3–4, 2026, in the Industrials sector.

Reported layoffs

Per a WARN filing with state regulators, CJ Logistics America, LLC filed notice that its ambient, food-grade warehouse at 801 Centerville Road in Newville (the Carlisle facility) will close, cutting 56 jobs. The filing states the 1,138,364 sq. ft. facility is one of seven CJ Logistics sites in Pennsylvania and that the closure is scheduled to be effective by October 31, 2026; the WARN provides the required 60-day notice to workers, the Pennsylvania dislocated worker unit, and local government.

The Peoria Journal Star reported a separate WARN notice submitted to the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity in which CJ Logistics America, LLC said it will close its University Park, Illinois facility and lay off 89 employees. That filing, submitted on July 10, outlines a three-phase reduction: 59 employees on the first Friday after the notice, 18 on October 3, and 12 on October 30. The Peoria Journal Star noted the paper contacted CJ Logistics but did not receive a response; the article did not supply reasons for the closures.
