Summary
US-based health technology company CorroHealth agreed to compensate around 850 employees who were laid off from its Kochi and Kozhikode medical coding centres in Kerala. Following state-led negotiations involving the Kerala Labour Department, the company committed to pay five months' gross salary (in addition to two months' salary previously announced) to the affected employees, with the compensation and employment-related documents to be credited and issued by July 26. The settlement also includes issuance of experience certificates, relieving letters, background-verification facilitation, Form 16, payslips and full-and-final settlement documents, plus employment support and a memorandum of understanding to be signed on July 26. The Kerala government rejected CorroHealth's proposal to relocate 12% of affected staff to other centres and prioritized employees' interests during the talks; further rehabilitation measures are under discussion with state IT authorities.
CorroHealth cut 850 jobs affecting its medical coding centres team as of July 14, 2026.
