Mission Foods to close Pueblo tortilla plant, laying off 90 workers

Mission Foods announced the permanent closure of its tortilla plant at 2110 Santa Fe Drive in Pueblo, Colorado, and informed the state it will lay off 90 workers. Company HR director Kevin Shuman told the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment the layoffs would occur Oct. 13-27 and comply with the 60-day WARN Act notice, while the union said the closure was delivered to workers immediately and about 100 workers were told to leave that day.
