Newmont Corporation Layoff — November 2025

Newmont Corp., the world’s largest gold producer, notified state and local officials that it will cut 19 positions at its Denver headquarters and a technical facility in Englewood, Colorado. The reductions, many of them management roles, are part of a broader plan announced in February to reduce labor and non-labor costs and are expected to begin around Oct. 28, 2025, with the positions being permanent. The company filed a WARN notice and said employees will be offered severance and receive at least 60 days’ advance notice; operations at the facilities will not be fully closed.
