T-Mobile to eliminate 113 jobs at Irving virtual business unit

T-Mobile USA Inc. filed a WARN notice saying it will lay off 113 employees at its Irving, Texas office effective Oct. 6, 2026, primarily impacting the virtual business function (about 100 virtual business experts) and related virtual business sales roles such as customer care manager and senior manager. The cuts are part of a restructuring begun in Q4 2025 to centralize teams, reduce layers and eliminate redundancies by relocating virtual business sales to T-Mobile's Overland Park, Kan., headquarters to join the larger virtual retail team. T-Mobile said it does not expect to replace the Irving roles but is offering relocation opportunities and support for employees who do not want to relocate; the company also said it is continuing to hire in other areas. The WARN notice states the layoffs are expected to be permanent and there is no union or bumping rights at the location.
